This is so important- I'm glad someone wrote an article about this (and that you posted it)! Mandatory drug sentences are one of the many reasons why our prison system is working the way it is now. It will be interesting to see what effect this new policy will have, if any effect at all. I also think it will be important to note what happens with dynamics in prisons and in the court system, as the individuals that have already been sentenced will not have their sentences affected in any way.
