Anonymized Online Black Market Shutdown, Alleged Founder/Operator Arrested

The Silk Road was an anonymized marketplace for buying and selling goods and services (primarily drugs to be quite honest), using a cryptocurrency called Bitcoin. Apparently over 1.2 billion dollars worth of Bitcoins changed hands through the site. The second article contains more technical details on how the site worked.
